Product Description:
The C6525-0050 is an industrial personal computer produced by Beckhoff within the C6 Industrial PC Units series. Engineered for machine-mount or arm-mount scenarios, the fanless box provides centralized PLC logic, HMI services, and data collection within automated lines. By combining multi-core processing with real-time Ethernet, it replaces separate controllers and helps simplify control-cabinet layouts, while its compact enclosure allows placement close to sensors and drives. Its fanless construction also avoids airflow paths that can draw contamination into the electronics.
Heat is removed through passive aluminum fins, eliminating moving parts and reducing maintenance demand. The housing has an exterior rating of IP65, so splashed coolant and dust do not reach the electronics. A stabilized input of 24 VDC feeds the motherboard and the internal UPS circuitry. Despite its steel shell, the unit weighs only 4.74 kg, which supports arm-mounted installation. The enclosure has a depth of 82 mm, a height of 275 mm, and a width of 330 mm, allowing placement behind cabinet doors with limited clearance. Four front USB receptacles follow the USB 2.0 standard for service keys or data backups, and dual Gigabit controllers are provided through 2 x RJ-45 sockets for separated control and plant networks.
Internal I/O is protected to IP20, which suits the enclosed space inside the chassis while still allowing convection. Communication with legacy equipment is handled through one RS-232 port, and motion terminals or diagnostic displays connect through one DVI port. The UPS can supply a buffer current of 2.0 A so the CPU can close files during power drops, and the USB ports remain available for removable media while UPS support is active. Humidity tolerance extends up to 95% without condensation for use near washdown zones. Data bursts move across the network at 100/1000BASE-T, letting the controller stream process images to SCADA servers without saturating the control bus.
