The C6525-0000 industrial PC is produced by Beckhoff and supplied within the C6 Industrial PC Units series. It serves as a control node in distributed automation systems, running deterministic operating systems and fieldbus stacks that sequence drives, sensors, and user interfaces. The computer is suited to machine cells where deterministic computing power, HMI multitasking, and high-speed networking must be combined in a single rugged package. Its chassis and I/O selection provide an alternative to traditional rack PLCs while keeping cabinet space and wiring requirements low.
With a depth of 82 mm, a height of 275 mm, and a width of 330 mm, the housing fits shallow control enclosures while leaving room for airflow around heat-sensitive boards. The aluminum body weighs 4.74 kg, so it can be mounted on light-gauge panels without reinforcement. Two Gigabit Ethernet controllers operate at 100/1000BASE-T, supporting real-time and standard TCP/IP traffic through dual RJ45 sockets. Four USB ports use USB 2.0 and provide hot-plug connectivity for removable storage, input devices, or barcode scanners. A single RS-232 serial port connects to legacy drives or operator terminals, while the DVI interface supports high-resolution monitors for local visualization.
In plant environments, the PC is protected against interference and moisture. The internal electronics have an IP20 rating, while the front panel reaches IP65 when properly gasketed, permitting washdown of the machine face without allowing water to enter the cabinet interior. Radiated and conducted emissions comply with EN 61000-6-4, and immunity to industrial disturbances meets EN 61000-6-2, allowing installation near frequency drives and contactors. Operation is permitted at ambient humidity levels up to 95 percent without condensation, making the unit suitable for high-moisture processes such as bottling lines and food-packaging equipment. The protective front panel helps isolate exposed surfaces from dust and water while the cabinet shields the remaining housing and electrical connections.
