Product Description:
The C6320-0010 industrial PC is produced by Beckhoff within the C6 Industrial PC Units series. Intended for control-cabinet installation, the unit unites computing, field communication, and motion execution so that PLC logic, HMI graphics, and data collection can run locally on automated equipment. Its slot motherboard and standard expansion layout allow the platform to accept motion cards, additional networks, or specialized I/O without redesigning the enclosure.
The integrated power stage accepts a nominal 24 V DC supply, eliminating the need for internal AC conversion. A validated operating envelope of 0 to 55 °C maintains processor performance in plant environments that experience daily thermal swings. Up to 512 MB of SDRAM can be installed, giving sufficient workspace for real-time operating systems and visualization software. Network connectivity is provided through a 10/100 Base-T Ethernet port for supervisory links or EtherCAT gateways. Hardware expansion is handled by 3 backplane slots; one is occupied by the CPU card, leaving a free PCI slot that supports add-in boards up to 190 mm long. The Socket 370 on the CPU carrier accepts Pentium III or Celeron processors, and two USB ports permit removable media or keyboards.
Non-volatile data and operating systems reside on a 20 GB 2.5-inch IDE HDD, balancing capacity with shock resistance for machine-mounted PCs. Legacy equipment can still be addressed through 2 × RS232 serial ports, enabling barcode readers or older drives to coexist with modern fieldbuses. The steel housing weighs 9.5 kg, a consideration for panel mounting hardware and vibration damping. Overall dimensions of 93 × 196 × 226 mm conserve space in crowded electrical cabinets while still permitting card access from the rear. The compact enclosure supports rear access to installed cards within the available cabinet space.
