The C6240-1054 is a panel-mount industrial PC supplied by Beckhoff within the C6 Industrial PC Units series. It serves as a deterministic control node for PLC, motion, and HMI tasks where Windows-based or TwinCAT runtimes must communicate directly with field devices and drives. By combining motherboard, I/O backplane, and expansion capacity in one enclosure, the unit replaces separate rack controllers and supports centralized data processing in manufacturing cells and test stands. Its panel-mount format keeps computing hardware close to machine I/O, which helps reduce cable runs and keeps control signals organized inside a single cabinet.
The chassis measures 430 x 170 x 274 mm, providing room for a full-size motherboard and add-in cards while still fitting standard control cabinets.
