Product Description:
The C6240-1050-0030 is an industrial PC unit manufactured by Beckhoff and supplied within the C6 Industrial PC Units series. It functions as a hardened computing platform that runs PLC logic, motion tasks, and visualization software for automated machinery. By concentrating processing, fieldbus masters, and data logging in one enclosure, the product reduces cabinet wiring and synchronizes multiple servo axes and I/O stations in real time.
The front power connector has five contacts on a 5 mm grid. When wired with 1.5 mm² (16 AWG) leads, it can carry up to 15 A under CSA requirements or 12 A under EN requirements, and the insulation system is rated for 300 V under CSA requirements and 250 V under EN requirements. The system electronics and seven-slot backplane share a maximum power draw of 100 W, so expansion cards must remain within that limit. A protection rating of IP20 limits use to enclosed cabinets but allows tool-free service after power is removed. The chassis offers 7 internal slots that accept PCIe or legacy fieldbus cards, enabling the controller to interface with drives, EtherCAT terminals, or high-speed vision modules without external PCs.
The steel housing measures 430 mm in width, 170 mm in height, and 274 mm in depth, fitting standard 4U rack spaces while leaving room for cable routing. With a mass of 12.3 kg, the assembly can be supported by common telescopic rails without additional reinforcement. The housing has an impact resistance of 5 G, helping protect circuit boards and solid-state storage against typical transport loads. The internal layout channels front-to-back airflow across every expansion card, preventing localized heating when high-performance CPUs or GPUs are installed. Powder-coated sidewalls provide additional electrical isolation and minimize chassis corrosion inside control cabinets.
