The C6240-1032-0030 industrial computer is produced by Beckhoff as part of the C6 Industrial PC Units series. The model serves as a cabinet-mounted automation controller that hosts Windows-based applications, TwinCAT soft PLC runtime, motion control, and data logging tasks directly on the factory floor. By combining standard PC architecture with deterministic I/O interfaces, it replaces standalone PLCs and reduces the hardware count needed to sequence drives, vision systems, and HMI terminals.

Incoming mains power is accepted at 100 to 240 V AC, 50/60 Hz, and a separate 22 to 30 VDC rail supports UPS buffering for controlled shutdowns. Both supplies are internally converted to 100 W of usable power for drives, disks, and fans. The ATX motherboard layout provides seven expansion positions, including five full-size PCI slots and two ISA slots, and the card cage is sized at 430 × 170 × 274 mm. This arrangement supports high-speed EtherCAT, CANopen, or analog acquisition boards without enlarging the enclosure footprint. During transport or warehouse storage, the electronics remain reliable between -20 and 65 °C, and the integrated hard-drive heater is not required.
