The C6140-0030 is an industrial PC manufactured by Beckhoff within the C6 Industrial PC Units series. Intended as the central control computer in automated workcells, the unit merges computing power, field connectivity, and operator access in a single enclosure. One Ethernet port links the controller to plant networks, and two serial ports provide backward-compatible links to legacy instrumentation. This arrangement lets the PC handle control tasks and local interface functions from the same cabinet location. By concentrating PLC logic, motion sequencing, and data logging on a compact industrial platform, the computer reduces cabinet space and wiring effort in production lines.

I/O resources support routine machine interaction and peripheral connection. Four front-mounted USB ports accept removable media or low-speed peripherals, while two PS/2 connectors support legacy keyboards and pointing devices. Video output is delivered through a 15-pin SUB-D VGA connector, and an integrated RS232 interface enables point-to-point links with drives or barcode readers. Additional expansion is provided by three audio jacks, one parallel port, and five socket contacts for configurable signals.
