Product Description:
The C6030-0050 is a compact industrial PC produced by Beckhoff within the C6 Industrial PC Units series. Designed for DIN-rail or cabinet mounting, the device consolidates control, HMI, and data processing in automated equipment where space and heat budgets are limited. By combining multicore computing with integrated networking, it serves as the central logic layer that links field devices to higher-level supervisory systems in manufacturing and process plants.
The unit draws its logic and peripheral power from a 24 VDC nominal supply, delivered through a pluggable connector that tolerates currents up to 8 A. Two SODIMM slots accommodate double-channel DRAM for virtualization or large recipe storage. For deterministic machine communication, 4 Ethernet ports are available, each supporting cable runs up to 100 m and permitting segmentation between control networks and supervisory traffic. Operator interfaces connect through 2 DisplayPort interfaces, each backed by a 3.3 V / 500 mA source, while peripheral devices receive 900 mA from the set of 4 USB ports. These interfaces let the PC drive multi-monitor HMIs and attach mass-storage or service adapters without external hubs.
The aluminum housing measures 132 × 133 × 76 mm, fitting into shallow cabinets yet leaving clearance for the 1.5 mm² maximum wire cross-section accepted by the spring terminals. An IP20 protection rating restricts the installation to closed enclosures but simplifies cooling with natural convection. Nonvolatile data resides on a M.2 SSD, and security keys are isolated in a fTPM 2.0 secure element for cryptographic boot and network authentication. The motherboard keeps the CMOS clock with a 225 mAh lithium cell at 3.0 V, supporting scheduled tasks during power loss. These features allow the platform to host edge analytics and centralized control inside coordinated production lines.
