The Beckhoff C6 Industrial PC Series presents a new member of the family, the C6017-0020 model, an ultra-compact IPC that is ideal for high-performance computing in limited spaces for IoT gateways and edge devices.
The industrial computer of this unit uses the Intel Atom® processor, which has 2 or 4 cores depending on the model, and this will be enough for many industrial tasks. The C6017-0020 supports the TwinCAT 3 platform at levels P40 and P50 but lacks support for TwinCAT 2, encouraging users to work with the latest software interfaces. It supports the following operating systems Windows 10 IoT Enterprise editions for 2019 and 2021 LTSC (64-bit), TwinCAT/BSD to provide a suitable and efficient OS environment for industrial applications. This model is a non-fan model, which does not need any fan to cool it down and maintains the operation, which also minimizes the need for maintenance and increases reliability. This device is marked with the protection rating of IP20 which means that the device is protected against solids with a diameter greater than 12.5mm but is not protected against liquids which means that it can be used only in the environment free from moisture. Regarding communication, the C6017-0020 features Ethernet, DisplayPort, USB, and RS232 connection interfaces so that the board allows for a wide range of data exchange and monitoring possibilities.
