Product Description:
The C6017-0010 is a compact industrial PC produced by Beckhoff within the C6 Industrial PC Units series. It is intended to run PLC logic, motion sequences, and HMI services directly inside control panels, removing the need for a full-size rack computer on the factory floor. The unit’s fanless aluminum housing simplifies upkeep, while its small form factor allows DIN-rail or machine-mounted installation close to sensors, drives, and fieldbus couplers in automated lines. Because computing, storage, and networking are integrated in one enclosure, the controller can be placed near machine I/O while still serving as the central runtime platform for automation tasks.
The housing measures 82 x 82 x 66 mm and carries a nominal input of 24 VDC, so it can share the same low-voltage rail that feeds relays and sensors. Two RJ45 connectors provide dual-port switching at 100/1000 Mbit/s, supporting real-time Ethernet fieldbuses. Environmental protection is limited to IP20, which suits installation inside an electrical cabinet. Internal data is stored on a M.2 SSD, eliminating rotating media and improving vibration tolerance. The single DisplayPort interface drives a local operator panel, and its auxiliary pin supplies 3.3 V at 500 mA for an active cable or small monitor electronics. A USB 2.0 port and a USB 3.0 port are provided, and each socket can source the standard 500 mA device current.
Network traffic is processed by the Intel i210 LAN controller, enabling deterministic frame scheduling for EtherCAT or TSN-based protocols. Platform security is reinforced by an integrated fTPM 2.0 secure element that stores encryption keys outside the main processor domain. The electronics withstand mechanical shocks up to 5 G, and the power plug is rated for a continuous load of 8 A, helping the unit tolerate brief startup demand from connected peripherals. The separate security element helps protect credentials used by the operating system and industrial communication software.
