The C5210-0000 industrial PC is produced by Beckhoff and belongs to the C5 Control Cabinets series. Intended for mounting in 19-inch racks, this unit serves as the central computing element for PLC, motion, and HMI functions in automated production lines. By integrating standard PC hardware with deterministic field connectivity, it consolidates visualization, logic, and drive coordination inside the control cabinet while fitting beside power electronics and remote I/O modules.
The housing measures 482 x 44.45 x 494 mm, matching a 1 U 19-inch form factor that allows dense stacking in standard racks. An input range of 100–240 VAC and an optional 22–30 VDC feed allow operation from either mains power or a low-voltage distribution bus. Two RJ-45 10/100/1000BASE-T interfaces provide Gigabit Ethernet connectivity for motion devices and supervisory controllers. The IP20 protection class indicates finger-safe construction without liquid sealing, so the PC is intended for installation inside a control cabinet. Mechanical durability includes 5 G, 30 ms shock tolerance, helping the unit withstand transport and handling impacts. Two 3.5-inch hard-drive caddies, a single optical drive slot, a 3.5-inch motherboard, one DVI-I display connector, and an RS-232 serial port complete the base hardware profile.
Access to 4 rear USB 2.0 ports and 2 front USB 2.0 ports supports convenient connection of removable media and peripherals from either side of the chassis. Continuous operation near stamping presses is supported by resistance to 0.035 mm @ 10–58 Hz; 0.5 G @ 58–500 Hz vibration levels found on machine bases. A weight of 7.5 kg gives the unit a rigid rack-mounted form without making handling difficult during installation. Expansion for fieldbus masters, GPUs, or specialty I/O is provided through 2 PCIe module slots, allowing the platform to grow with application requirements.
