The C3640-0030 panel PC is produced by Beckhoff within the C3 Panel PC Units series. Designed for cabinet mounting, the unit consolidates PC-based control, data logging, and visualization in one enclosure, letting OEMs simplify wiring and reduce separate controller hardware. It uses standard Ethernet fieldbus connectivity to link with drives and I/O, so it can run motion tasks, recipe handling, and operator guidance directly at the machine. This arrangement supports packaging lines, assembly cells, and energy management stations that require deterministic control together with a local user interface.
Its housing measures 470 x 348 x 199 mm, giving the unit enough depth to accommodate a 3.5 in hard drive without exceeding typical cabinet clearances. The built-in TFT screen spans 15 in, and its resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels provides clear status dialogs and trend graphs. The aluminum front panel is sealed to IP65, which helps block dust ingress and low-pressure water jets, while the rear section remains at IP20 for convection cooling inside the control cabinet. A minimum conductor cross-section of 1.5 mm² and 5 mm contact spacing on the power plug simplify field wiring and match common industrial low-voltage practice.
