The C3620-1007 is a built-in Panel PC from Beckhoff’s C3 Panel PC Units series. Designed for flush mounting in control cabinets or operator consoles, the device combines visualization, real-time processing, and network communication in a single enclosure. Within an automated line, it acts as the local human-machine interface and primary computing node, running PLC or SCADA software while its stainless-steel chassis and aluminum front panel withstand vibration, temperature fluctuation, and routine washdowns on the shop floor.
The graphical subsystem is built around a 12 in screen that uses a TFT panel, and its native resolution of 800 x 600 pixels suits status pages and compact trend charts. External displays can be driven through one DisplayPort and 2 DVI connectors for remote viewing. Network traffic is handled by dual gigabit adapters rated at 2 x 100/1000BASE-T, giving simultaneous access to the machine subnet and the plant backbone. A 7-slot ATX motherboard provides space for I/O expansion, and all backplane positions are available as 7 expansion slots for additional fieldbus, motion, or storage cards. Interface options also include two PS/2 ports for legacy keyboards or pointing devices, one RS-232 channel for serial instruments, and four USB 3.0 receptacles for high-speed service media.
