Product Description:
The Beckhoff BC3150 is a high speed Bus Terminal Controller (Bus Terminal Controller) for decentralized automation solutions. This compact module is intended as part of the BC Bus Terminals series, and serves as an excellent tool for applications which demand a flexible and scalable I/O system. As it natively supports up to 64 bus terminals, and up to 255 terminals via a K-bus extension, it is effective for the complex, modular control architectures.
The BC3150 is designed to support a huge amount of signals, up to 2,040 digital inputs/outputs and 128 analog I/Os supporting large scale industrial systems' requirements. The unit is powered by a 24 V DC power supply and provides electrical robustness with a maximum current to the K bus of 1750 mA and power contacts max. 10 A at 24 V DC. The BC3150 has an automatic data transfer rate detection to 12 Mbaud through a 9 pin D sub interface and allows rapid and efficient communication with the fieldbus system. Furthermore, it offers major data throughput with up to 128 bytes of fieldbus input and output data, and 512 bytes of input and output in the process image.
The KS2000 configuration software provides flexible configuration and, alternatively, this can be done directly via the fieldbus. The BC3150 has a wide operating temperature range, -25 to +60C, and compact housing for use in a multitude of harsh industrial environments. The BC3150 provides an expandable, powerful, and adaptable control solution for a great variety of digital and analog peripherals within a modular bus terminal structure for applications ranging from machine control and building automation to process monitoring.
