Product Description:
BC3100 serves as a control device ready for use in automated systems. This unit can connect with and manage up to 64 bus terminals, making it useful for many setups controlling different parts. It has memory storage built in; for programs, there is 32/96 kbytes, and for handling changing data, it holds 32/64 kbytes. It also keeps important data that must not disappear, holding 512 bytes of this remanent information. The work inside this unit runs with 1 PLC task, making sure everything happens in order for stable operation.
To tell this device what to do, you use TwinCAT software for programming. The programming languages it understands follow standard rules like IEC 61131-3 (IL, LD, FBD, SFC, ST), giving flexibility for different logic types. The time it takes to do its main logic loop, called the PLC cycle time, is quick, roughly 3 ms for 1,000 instructions without counting the time it takes to read and write information from the connected devices. When sending and getting data from other systems through the network or fieldbus, it can handle up to 128 bytes input and output, and for its own internal information handling, the total capacity through its process image reaches 512 bytes input and output, providing necessary space for managing the system information flows.
This unit is designed to work in common industrial temperatures, operating reliably from 0 up to 55°C. For periods when it is not powered on and just stored away, it can tolerate a much wider temperature range from -25 to +85°C. It needs power from a 24 V DC source, and it is built to accept some variation in this power, handling amounts between -15% and +20% of the standard value.
