Product Description:

The AX5801-0000 is an expansion TwinSAFE option card to be installed on the AX5000 series of servo drives that operate with rated currents of 1.5 A 40 A in order to add to the safety features of the servo drives. This option card facilitates the addition of some core drive functions related to safety, thus making it relevant where operational safety is of critical need in industrial use. Users can integrate this card so that their servo drive systems are also installed with the required safety standards that protect both the machines and the operators.

One of the key highlights of the AX5801-0000 is its technology on Safe Torque Off (STO) and Safe Stop 1 (SS1). The STO capability cuts torque on request in order to avoid unwanted movements and it is the requested discrimination for motors. On the other hand, the SS1 feature is provided to close torque first to allow a controlled circuitry arrest. Such provisions are vital for actions which require instant and safe dropouts to avert hazards of any mechanical breakdowns.

Some of the models from the AX5000 series that are compatible with the AX5801-0000 are AX5x01-0000-0200, AX5x03-0000-0200, AX5112-0000-0200, AX5125-0000-0200, and AX5140-0000-0200. Such wide range of compatibility makes it possible for the inclusion of the option card into different configurations of Beckhoff servo drives. As regards safety aspects, the AX5801-0000 is compliant with EN ISO 13849-1:2015 (determined as Category 4e) and IEC 61508:2010 (SIL 3) in a way that it is compliant with safety regulations throughout the globe.
