AX5701- 0000 is an internal module used for adding encoders for Beckhoff AX5000- series servo drives. To better motion control applications, the unit enhances the capability for additional feedback systems to be incorporated. By providing a provision to connect one more encoder, the AX5701 will also provide high-resolution feedback that will also enhance the positioning of the motor eliminating downtimes associated with mechanical systems such as backlash and gear units. This is required when the application demands high control and accuracy of the motion.
The AX5701 card is mounted in the second option slot that is situated at the top part of AX5000 drive.
