Product Description:

Beckhoff’s AX8206-0100 is a fully integrated TwinSAFE Logic single-axis module specially aimed at multi axis servo systems. Out of the box, this module can deliver a rated output of 6 A, a peak current of twenty A, and a DC link voltage of up to eight hundred and forty-eight volts DC. It also accepts supply voltage that ranges from 100 to 480V AC and therefore suitable for a variety of industries.

As such, the AX8206-0100 facilitates the use of the AX-Bridge system so as to enhance the integration of multi-axes systems. This system apart from making the system connection gets rid of the need for any tools to connect the DC link, 24 V DC control voltage and EtherCAT communication ports. This type of system further allows energy to be exchanged during acceleration and deceleration processes, thus improving the usage of regenerative energy across many axes. When the energy in those capacitors is not enough, the AX881x will soak up the excess energy when there is surplus energy.

This module has integrated Safe Torque Off (STO) and Safe Stop 1 (SS1) safety functions that are able to be activated by means of hardwired input or FSoE (Fail-safe over EtherCAT) in order to satisfy strict safety requirements including EN ISO 13849-1:2015 (Cat 4, PL e); SIL 3. The multi-feedback interface accepts EnDat 2.2/22 and BiSS C encoders giving the ability to control the motor accurately. It has been equipped with EtherCAT interface and CiA402 drive profile allowing usage of automation systems. The AX8206-0100 is especially suited for safety-critical, environment-sensitive, and highly adaptable applications, operating within a temperature range of 0 to +40°C (up to +55°C with power reduced ‘bulb cooling only’). It has CE, cULus, and EAC approvals which enable its industrial utilization all over the world.
