Product Description:

From Beckhoff's AX8000 series, the AX8108-0200-0000 single-axis module is high performing with tremendous scope for safe and motion control in a multi-synchronized servo drive system. It has internally built a DC link with inverter for controlling a motor with rated output current of 8 A and peak output current of 20 A. The module functions within an input supply voltage range of 100V to 480V AC and extends interfacing with Beckhoff power supply module to enable ultra-flexible machine shapes and configurations.

The Advanced Safe Motion feature is one of the major benefits of the AX8108-0200-0000. The module contains a TwinSAFE Logic principle and therefore caters for a number of safety relevant features such as Safe Torque Off, Safe Stop, Safe Operating Stop. Safety is complemented through safe motion control: Safe Maximum Acceleration, Safe Acceleration Range, Safe Limited Speed, Safe Speed Range, Safe Direction, and safe position and safe speed functions. These safety criteria are in compliance with stringent standards even EN ISO 13849-1:2015 (Cat 4, PL e) and SIL 3 which makes it useful in safety related applications.

This structure provides a multi feedback interface for fast and efficient motion control system including EnDat 2.2/22 and BiSS C digital encoder systems. The AX8108-0200-0000 has been designed with energy efficiency and comfort in mind, making use of the AX-Bridge system that carries no screws for making any connections, where DC link and axis energizing and de- energizing may occur during the acceleration or deceleration of an axis. The safety features embedded in the TwinSAFE safety system allows the end-users to develop application drives in a safe way by decongesting the process of increasing the level of complexity associated with a safety project.
