Offering a plethora of performance enhancements to control systems within cost effective limits, the AX5125-LF00-1, a single channel servo drive in the Beckhoff’s AS5000 series boasts high power motion control. It also contains some essential functions such as power supply unit, EMC filter and DC link capacitors hence decreasing the system complexity and the amount of hardware necessary for the system.
With a current output of 25 A and peak current of 50 A, it works best for applications that need constant, high quality and dynamic positioning. It runs on supply voltage type three phase voltage 3×100 to 480V AC tolerance ±10 and voltage DC link 875V. Installation on a system that supports EtherCAT communication, the AX5125 further ensures physically distributed control systems are well timed to PC controller. The drive can be used with synchronous motors, linear motors, torque motors, or voice coil motors with no special changes. Its multi feedback interface is able to adapt standards like SinCos, resolver, EnDat 2.1, hipporace, BI-ss B, and OCT.
The systems in multi-axis systems are simplified by the AX-Bridge quick connection system where interconnection of many devices is done through simple plugging in one power, DC link, and 24V DC control voltage modules for the devices. The drive is also capable of facilitating operation for synchronous and asynchronous motors without sensors for further application purpose. It is possible to implement safety functions, such as Safe Torque Off (STO) and Safe Stop 1 (SS1), with the help of the additional AX58xx module, meeting the requirements of norm EN ISO 13849-1:2015 (Cat. 4, PL e) and SIL 3.
