The module rectifies three-phase mains voltage to build a regulated DC link and then modulates that energy into sinusoidal motor currents. This operating method supports closed-loop torque, speed, and position control, helping connected axes maintain synchronization and accurate motion under changing loads. Because the control functions are handled directly in the drive, the unit can respond quickly to command changes during positioning and speed regulation.
The drive provides up to 12.5 kVA of apparent power on a 400 V supply, and this rating increases to 15 kVA on 480 V lines. Its continuous phase output is 18 A, while short overload periods can reach a peak of 36 A. For smaller motors, the peak channel can be reduced to 12 A. Heat generated by the switching devices contributes to 255 W of power loss that must be removed by cabinet airflow. For regenerative events that remain within steady-state limits, the internal brake transistor can absorb 200 W without external hardware, which helps stabilize the DC bus during routine braking. The DC link ceiling of 875 VDC protects the semiconductors during fast deceleration phases. When kinetic energy rises beyond the continuous threshold, the internal resistor bank can dissipate up to 26 kW for short periods, and an accessory resistor of at least 22 Ω increases the dumping capacity to 32 kW for heavier axes. The spindle interface supports motor speeds up to 60000 rpm, which suits high-frequency machining and grinding applications. The housing measures 185 mm in width, 232 mm in depth, and 317.70 mm in height, allowing multiple units to be mounted side by side in a control enclosure.
