Product Description:

The AX5103-0000-0X00 is a single-axis servo from the Beckhoff AX5000 range that is intended to give the best performance, customization, and affordability in all kinds of industrial applications. It also includes the power supply, the EMC filter, and the DC link capacitors making their installation easier while also cutting down on the amount of equipment needed.

The unit is intended to be powered with a three-phase supply of rated voltage of 3 x 100…480 V AC ±10% subject to a maximum permissible DC link voltage of 875 V DC. The AX5103 can generate a rated output current of 3 A with a peak output current of 7.5 A which facilitates high performance control applications. Synchronous, linear, torque, asynchronous, and voice coil are some of the motor types that can be used with it without any extra modifications.

AX5103 is also noteworthy for its ability to directly connect into in EtherCAT which is a fast robust communication technique for PC control. The quick connection system called AX-Bridge can be applied to multi-axis system integration whereby several AX5000 drives can be connected via PMs which consist of power supply, DC link and 24 V DC control voltage connectors sequentially. The multi-feedback interface can support a variety of standards, such as SinCos 1Vpp, resolver, EnDat 2.1, Hiperface, BiSS B, and OCT providing an array of feedback options. The servo drive enables sensorless operation of synchronous and asynchronous motors. Certain safety functions gen Safe Torque Off (STO) or Safe Stop 1 (SS1) may be incorporated with the optional AX58xx module and hence contributes to the level of safety compliance with safety standards of EN ISO 13849-1:2015 (Cat. 4, PL e) and SIL 3.
