The AX5101-0000 is a single-axis digital servo drive manufactured by Beckhoff for the AX Digital Servo Drives series. It functions as the power and control interface between a machine’s motion controller and its motor, delivering regulated current and voltage so automated axes can follow commanded positions and velocities. In packaging lines, material-handling cells, and assembly fixtures, this drive governs dynamic torque while supervising its DC-link to recycle or dissipate regenerative energy.

The drive supplies a nominal output current of 1.5 A, and it can deliver up to 4.5 A for brief acceleration peaks; the minimum settable peak value is 0.35 A for lightly loaded axes. A DC-link rated at 875 VDC is smoothed by a capacitance of 235 µF, providing energy storage for rapid current transitions.
