The AX2523-B200 is a two-channel servo drive from Beckhoff in the AX Digital Servo Drives series. It converts DC-link energy into controlled three-phase output for synchronous or induction motors used in positioning and speed-control tasks on automated machinery and material-handling axes. The unit combines current control, field-oriented regulation, and fast analog feedback so the host EtherCAT controller can close motion loops with minimal latency in decentralized cabinet installations.
During continuous operation, the drive delivers a rated phase current of 3 Arms, while short motion bursts can draw up to 9 Arms. An output current form factor of 1.01 indicates that the effective RMS value nearly matches the average amplitude, which helps limit thermal peaks in motor windings. The power stage supports loads whose winding inductance falls between 12 mH and 75 mH, allowing the amplifier to operate with compact servomotors or larger torque units.
