The AX2513-B200 digital servo drive is produced by Beckhoff as part of the AX Digital Servo Drives series. It is intended for cabinet installation where it interfaces with a higher-level motion controller and a shared DC-link supply. Inside an automated line, the drive modulates three-phase output currents so that a synchronous or induction motor follows commanded torque, speed, or position profiles. This operating role makes it suitable for coordinated axis control in pick-and-place arms, indexing tables, conveyor sections, and similar automated equipment.
Under steady load, the unit provides a continuous phase current of 3 A rms, while brief acceleration or deceleration demands can be met with a peak capability of 9 A rms. Pulse-width modulation devices switch at an 8 kHz carrier frequency, and the current control loop is refreshed every 62.5 μs, giving the controller fine temporal resolution for dynamic correction. Fast update timing helps the drive respond quickly to load changes and maintain smooth motor current during changing motion commands. If the DC-link potential rises above 750 V, an overvoltage shutdown prevents semiconductor stress.
