Product Description:

The AX2506-B200 is Type E6873954 rated power supply module for Beckhoff's AX digital servo drive unit with over-current protection for demanding multi-axis applications. It has an output current rating at 6A and a power rating of 7kVA which makes it a versatile device in the task of controlling torque, descending and ascent speed and position. Its terminal block is rated at a working connection voltage of 1 x 115 volts AC up to 1/3 x 230 volts AC ± 10% at 50 to 60 hertz standard seasonal cycle of electricity.

Due to the standard synchronous motor construction, the unit can also be used for up to eight multi-axis applications. This is a master module that supports up to seven additional axis modules so that it is useful in complicated automation environments. Within the system, communication occurs electrically through the EtherCAT system bus which provides communication for motion control processes as and when necessary.

The module is also fitted with a built-in fan that enhances its cooling, thus enabling operation even in hostile operation environments. It supports efficiency intensive operations since it supports control of brushless synchronous servo motors. Due to the small size of the unit, it can be used where there is lack of space while the modular design further enhances the integration of units into the wider Beckhoff drive systems. With regard to the software, the AX2506-B200 works with AX2000/AX2500 software making the installation and operation easy. In addition, the drive is within the Beckhoff drive concept, hence it will suit users who are already working in this environment.
