Product Description:
The AX2090-NF50-0100 is a drive-side connection accessory supplied by Beckhoff for the AX Digital Servo Drives series. It connects a power module to the machine’s main supply and carries the high current required by the drive system. The assembly also provides a controlled discharge path for stored electrical energy after shutdown. This function supports motion-control cabinets and conveyor systems that rely on fast electronic torque regulation while allowing residual voltage to decrease after the equipment is switched off.
The cable assembly operates at a nominal line voltage of 480 VAC and supports a continuous load of 100 A, allowing it to meet the current demand of larger AX drive modules without derating. The assembly uses shielded conductors to reduce electromagnetic noise that could interfere with nearby control or feedback wiring. Its total length is limited to 0.4 m, keeping the connection compact and reducing voltage drop across the cable. The listed loop impedance is 0.817 mΩ, which supports efficient current delivery during normal drive operation. The assembly accepts nominal supply frequencies of 50 or 60 Hz, making it suitable for standard industrial power systems. Full electrical performance is maintained at a nominal ambient temperature of 40 °C when the assembly is installed within the applicable cabinet conditions.
After power is removed, stored energy discharges until the terminal voltage falls below the safe touch level of 50 V. The required discharge wait time is 5 min, and the terminals should remain inaccessible until this interval has elapsed. The thermal overload profile permits currents of up to 1.5 × In for 3 min/h and 2.5 × In for 30 s/h, providing brief current headroom during peak braking or acceleration cycles before protective shutdown is required. These time-limited overload levels help accommodate short changes in drive demand without treating them as continuous operating conditions. The assembly has a total mass of 6.0 kg, allowing it to be supported within a compact drive rack while remaining within the cabinet’s structural load limits. Proper mechanical support also reduces strain on the electrical connections and helps maintain stable cable routing inside the enclosure.
