Product Description:
The AX2090-ND50-0060 is a mains input reactor supplied by Beckhoff for the AX Digital Servo Drives series. Positioned on the AC side of a drive cabinet, it adds impedance to the supply network so that current peaks and conducted noise are reduced during rapid motor acceleration and deceleration cycles. By filtering the three-phase line, the unit helps servo amplifiers maintain a stable DC-link voltage and contributes to a longer service life for connected automation equipment.
The reactor is designed for a nominal line voltage of 3 × 460 V AC and accepts standard utility frequencies of 50/60 Hz. Its copper winding has an inductance of 0.25 mH, which attenuates harmonic components without introducing excessive voltage drop. Continuous operation is supported at a phase current of 60 A, while transient events such as motor inrush can be handled at twice the nominal current for 30 seconds before thermal limits are reached. The laminated core produces a short-circuit voltage of 9.24 V when connected to a 400 V upstream supply, indicating the voltage drop across the reactor at rated current. The housing measures 190 mm wide, 120 mm deep, and 200 mm high, allowing installation in compact control enclosures. The surrounding installation must meet the applicable P2 contamination level.
Thermal losses of 70 W must be removed by natural or forced convection. The open design has an IP00 protection rating, so the reactor must be installed inside a guarded cabinet that prevents accidental contact and protects it from contaminants. The steel frame and iron core weigh 7 kg, helping minimize vibration after the base has been securely anchored. Power terminals accept conductors with cross-sectional areas up to 16 mm², accommodating the rated current while limiting resistive heating at the connections. Proper mounting clearance around the 120 mm-deep housing preserves the airflow needed to remove heat during continuous operation.
