Product Description:
Beckhoff manufactures the AX2090-L807-0001S within its AX Digital Servo Drives series. This plug-in fan assembly installs directly on the heat-sink section of an AX servo drive to maintain appropriate component temperatures under continuous operating load. By pushing a targeted air stream across the power electronics, the unit helps the drive sustain rated current output in automated production lines, packaging cells, and other motion-control equipment.
Electrical supply for the module is 24 VDC, and the fan draws a steady 1.3 A, resulting in a consumption of 31.2 W. Cooling is provided by forced ventilation, so air is actively moved through the drive’s fin channels rather than relying on passive convection. An enclosure rating of IP20 confines installation to ventilated control cabinets where no direct water spray is present. The five-pole header assigns pin 2 to the supply line, pin 1 to the protective earth, pin 4 to the ground reference, while pins 3 and 5 remain unused for future diagnostics or daisy-chain options. This single-connector arrangement simplifies wiring when multiple fan units are distributed along a drive rack.
Air leaves the impeller in the Blowing orientation, directing fresh air toward the drive rather than extracting warmed air away. During mechanical mounting the clamp screws must be tightened to 3 Nm, and the captive nuts on the fan frame accept a load of 2.5 Nm to hold the assembly without deforming the bracket. The module weighs 3.40 kg, a factor to consider when calculating cabinet rail capacity. Acceptable storage spans -25 °C up to +65 °C, allowing spare units to be kept in standard parts rooms without special climate control. Overall, the dedicated ground pin maintains equipotential bonding so the fan housing does not become a path for fault current during service.
