The AX2070-AS is a digital servo drive produced by Beckhoff as part of the AX Digital Servo Drives series. The drive interfaces directly with EtherCAT motion controllers, so real-time setpoints, diagnostics, and operating data are exchanged over a single high-speed bus. This arrangement supports coordinated axis control without requiring separate command wiring for each function.

On the analog interface, the controller presents an input impedance of 20 kOhm, which helps minimize loading on connected transducers, and each conversion step is only 1.25 mV to support fine signal changes. Command outputs use a 10-bit format together with a 2.2 kOhm driver, which is suitable for reference signals sent to related control hardware.
