The AX2020-0000-0001 is a digital servo drive produced by Beckhoff within the AX Digital Servo Drives series. By integrating power electronics, signal conditioning, and safety monitoring in one housing, it serves as the central actuator interface between the machine controller and electromechanical loads on the factory floor.
The drive incorporates two differential analog inputs. Channel 1 has 14-bit resolution, while channel 2 has 12-bit resolution, enabling fine velocity or torque commands. Both inputs accept a bipolar range of ±10 V, are buffered by a 20 kΩ input resistance, and are refreshed every 62.5 µs, which supports responsive closed-loop control at high servo update rates. On the power side, a continuous phase current of 20 A rms allows the amplifier to run motors at their rated load without thermal derating, and a peak capability of 40 A rms delivers short bursts of acceleration torque during rapid indexing.
