Product Description:

The AX2020 Digital servo amplifier is designed for industrial automation tasks that require precise control and robust connectivity. The servo amplifier is designed by Beckhoff and is suitable for integration into advanced systems that demand consistent operation and flexible interfacing.

The AX2020 digital servo amplifier operates with a rated supply voltage of 3×208V–10 % to 3×480V+10% at 50/60 Hz and a rated DC bus link voltage between 290VDC and 675VDC. The auxiliary power supply functions at 24 VDC. It draws 3 A with the brake activated, and 1 A without a present brake. The rated output current is 20 A rms, with a peak output current of 40 A for up to 5 seconds. The output stage clock frequency is 8 kHz, which increases to 16 kHz if the DC bus voltage is 400 V or less. At rated current, the residual voltage drop is 5 V. The quiescent dissipation is 15 W, and power dissipation at rated current, including power supply losses, is 200 W.

The regeneration circuit has an overvoltage shutdown threshold of 900 V, an upper switch-on level of 840-870 V, and a switch-off level of 800-830 V, operating at a 3×480 V input. Dissipation of continuous electricity from the outside is 1.5 kW, whilst dissipation from within is 200 W. Users can install the AX2020 digital servo amplifier at altitudes up to 1000 m without derating or up to 2500 m with the proper derating, and it is rated for ambient operating temperatures from 0°C to +45°C, with derating up to +55°C. The cooling is accomplished through forced convection with the help of an internal fan, and the protection level is IP20.
