The AX2010-S61000-520 is a digital servo drive produced by Beckhoff within the AX Digital Servo Drives series. The device converts DC-link energy into three-phase output for a servo motor while monitoring current, voltage, and feedback signals. By executing these tasks, the drive supplies the regulated motion power required for automated pick-and-place stations, gantry axes, and synchronized packaging machinery.
The control electronics are powered from an auxiliary bus of 24 VDC, so the drive can maintain logic functions even when the mains are isolated. Under continuous duty, the power stage provides a rated phase current of 10 Arms, which matches medium-inertia motors that draw steady torque. For acceleration or rapid dynamic events, it delivers a peak of 20 Arms for short intervals before foldback occurs. The power section has a rated installed load of 7 kVA, which sets cabinet wiring and circuit breaker size. Thermal losses at this rated point reach 90 W and must be removed through forced convection, while an additional 15 W is dissipated in quiescent standby.
