Product Description:
The AT9012-0050-0550 is a passive mover suited to the use of Beckhoff’s XTS. The structure of the mover very light has been constructed out of aluminum alloy only weighs 460 g. The mover possesses rollers from the ZX9012-0050 roller set, which are plastic-coated and operate with low noise and wear, and run very smoothly even in the absence of oil. This is well suited for facilities with less attention to maintenance over a prolonged period. The rollers also serve to reduce rolling friction and thus help in the movement of the unit and reduce friction losses.
Movement of the die is done by means of the magnetic plate set AT9001-0550 where two magnetic plates generate the thrust needed for movement. There is an opposed arrangement that balances the attractive forces thus improving operational stability. In addition, there is an encoder flag attached to the mover, which generates position signals for displacement measurement. This allows for accurate position control and feedback in the XTS system which is essential for automation processes that require high precision.
It is purely a passive mover designed to the extent that it does not have its own drive or any means of active propulsion using only the long stator linear motor segments such as an AT2000 series for movement. The AT2000 motor modules used with this mover unit are 233 mm or 250mm long and use a daisy chained connector to interconnect power and communication where 3 meters is the maximum distance for a single connection. The operational voltage of these motor modules is 48 volts DC and normal operation would draw 16 Amps while the peak load draws 48 Amps at an output rated at 768 Watts.
