Product Description:
The AT9000-1000 is a straight starter rail manufactured by Beckhoff within the AT XTS Starters series. Installed at the beginning of an XTS track, it establishes the mechanical reference for movers that circulate on the system’s linear-motor transport path. By matching the profile and tolerances of adjacent motor modules, the rail lets the integrated control platform propel and position workpiece carriers with the repeatability required in industrial automation cells.
The rail follows the MIFA 48032 base profile and is machined from AW 6060-T6 aluminum, giving it the strength and thermal stability needed to align with the surrounding extrusions. Its 1000 mm nominal rail length simplifies layout calculations because one segment equals one meter of active track. A height of 35 mm allows the clamping tongue to sit flush with standard motor module faces so that movers pass over the joint without vertical shock. Up to 4 × AT2x0x-0250 motor modules can be fastened directly to the underside, ensuring coil continuity across the starter section. The geometry is straight, and no lock hardware is included, letting mounting lugs bring the rail into its final position without intermediate clamping devices. The general dimensional tolerance follows ISO 2768-fH, while individual feature requirements follow the ISO 8015 principle.
An overall rail length of 1026.1 mm accounts for end-face clearances and connector seats, and the track occupies a width of 39 mm inside the machine frame. The assembly weighs 1100 g, which helps limit static load on cantilevered supports and minimizes inertia when the track is mounted on adjustable slides. A hard anodized surface provides wear protection for steel mover wheels and achieves a surface roughness of Rz 6.3 to keep rolling friction predictable. Compatible mover types such as AT9011, AT9012, and AT9014 can enter and exit the starter section without binding or pitch error.
