The AT9000-0250 is a starter rail segment produced by Beckhoff for the AT XTS Starters series. It is installed at the input zone of an XTS linear transport line to bring movers up to transport speed before they enter the active transport path. Machined from aluminum, the unit has a straight geometry and incorporates no gate, so there is no mechanical switching element along its length. Its profile is sized to guide mover types AT9011, AT9012, and AT9014 with consistent lateral support during acceleration.

The rail is cut from AW 6060-T6, a heat-treated alloy that combines moderate strength with good machinability for precise slot tolerances. Its overall length is 250 mm, which provides a short straight section for mover entry and stabilization. A section height of 39 mm aligns the running surface with adjacent XTS modules, while the profile width of 22.2 mm maintains clearance inside standard guide channels. At only 260 g, the part adds little mass to cantilevered assemblies and reduces the load placed on support brackets. The low mass also makes the segment easier to handle during installation.

A hard anodized coating is applied to the running surface to improve wear resistance against wheel contact and to provide electrical insulation from adjacent conductive structures. The rail is supplied with sharp-edged end faces so butt joints can form a continuous track without gaps or chamfers that could disturb bearing rollers. Average surface texture is limited to Rz 6.3, which helps keep rolling behavior consistent during mover acceleration. The mechanical interface accepts 1 × AT2x0x-0250 motor module, with or without an integrated power feed, so the starter rail can mount directly to a driven segment without a separate transition plate. This arrangement helps movers pass from the starter section to the powered module with minimal disturbance.
