The AS1050-0100 stepper motor is a compact, high-precision stepper motor suitable for applications with a wide range of requirements in terms of control and torque. The motor operates at 24–48 V DC voltage range and provides a holding torque of 1.20 Nm and a rated current of 5.0 A, which are well suited to performing positioning tasks. Its step length is equivalent to 1.8° (200 full steps) making it quite precise. It interfacing with M12 connector bundle for temperature 0 to +40 degrees Celsius. The Motor has all the required CE compliance certification.

The main dimensions are as follows: A: 38.1 mm, B: 6.35 mm, D: 20.6 mm, K: 75.8 mm, L: 47.14 mm, M: 33 mm, O: 24 mm, provided with the NEMA23 (56 mm) flanged mounting for connection to the ceiling standard mounting. When it comes to backlash, both gear units have a play of ≤ 0.7° and ≤ 0.5° respectively. These gears would be used with AS1050 motors and would provide better torque and mass inertia ratios.

If the motor is paired with the planetary gear, factory fitting will be undertaken. In the case of retrofitting, the planetary gearing system requires precision and care during fitting. The gear features the integrated sun wheel and comes with an adapter shaft. The adapter shaft has to be first fitted with form-in place sealing onto the motor shaft and also with adhesive preferably, Loctite. After equipment has been placed on top of the adapter sleeve, the mechanical union screwing flange of the equipment must be additionally assembled to the installation collar of the motor with the guideline to properly step all the fastening elements to prevent malice of the elements.
