The AS1050-0100 is a two-phase stepper motor manufactured by Beckhoff for the AS Stepper Motors series. By advancing its rotor in discrete electrical steps, the unit supplies repeatable incremental motion for feeders, small gantries, and indexing tables in industrial automation. The motor accepts command pulses from a matching drive and responds without the need for closed-loop feedback, making it a straightforward actuator for medium-precision positioning tasks on assembly lines, test equipment, and similar compact machines.

Its mechanical interface uses a flange that measures 56 mm, allowing direct attachment to gearboxes or brackets. At standstill, the motor can hold a load with 1.20 Nm of static torque when the phase windings are energized at the rated phase current of 5.00 A. The motor has a nominal power rating of 27.5 W, and each revolution is divided into 1.8° per step with 200 full steps, which allows simple micro-stepping through the drive. The rotor can accept an axial thrust of up to 15 N, a second shaft end is available for a pulley or manual dial, and the connection to the drive controller is through an M12 cable bundle. The windings have an inductance of 0.86 mH, and the motor does not include an incremental encoder, so external position verification is required when the application needs confirmation of actual shaft movement.

The housing carries an ingress rating of IP43, which helps protect the stator from solid particles larger than 1 mm and from sprayed water up to 60° from vertical. Mass is limited to 1.00 kg, which helps reduce the load placed on small slides and compact mounting structures. Dynamic response is aided by a rotor inertia of 0.36 kg·cm², and the internal bearings are rated for 30000 h of service life. Electrical resistance is 0.28 Ω per phase, supporting stable current regulation during continuous duty.
