Product Description:
The AMP8041-D220-0000 is a synchronous servo motor produced by Beckhoff within the AM Synchronous Servo Motors series. Intended for distributed drive architectures, it supplies rotary motion to machine axes while keeping the power electronics close to the load. The unit integrates directly onto an EtherCAT system bus so the controller can transmit cyclic setpoints and receive position data with minimal latency. By combining OCT multi-turn feedback with a rotatable angular connector or terminal box, the motor supports space-saving installation in compact industrial machinery. This layout also helps reduce separate wiring runs between the control system and the moving axis.
During continuous operation, the motor delivers 0.74 kW of mechanical output. At a nominal shaft speed of 3000 rpm, it produces continuous torque of 2.37 Nm. For rapid indexing moves, the motor can rise to a peak torque of 9.67 Nm, allowing short bursts of acceleration during changing load conditions. Dynamic response is supported by a rotor inertia of 1.09 kg·cm², which helps balance quick motion with stable operation. Position data is carried through OCT multi-turn feedback, and power and signal lines share a single EtherCAT hybrid cable.
The mechanical interface uses a flange of 87 mm and a smooth shaft ground to 19 k6 tolerance. A factory-fitted IP65 shaft seal around the shaft helps keep dust and sprayed liquids away from the bearings in general industrial environments. Standstill holding torque is 2.40 Nm, which helps the motor maintain position when motion commands stop. Installation flexibility is supported by the rotatable connector or optional terminal box, a free shaft end of 40 mm, and an overall length code 4 that keeps the housing compact. These features allow the motor to fit into tight machine layouts without adding unnecessary connection bulk.
