The AMI8122-4000-0J11 is a Beckhoff manufactured Servo Motor. It is part of the AM Synchronous series that are well suited for industrial automation applications.
The AMI8122-4000-0J11 Servo Motor resistance to changes in rotational speed is defined by its rotor moment of inertia of 0.253 kgcm². It comes with a safe torque off function which can be achieved either using local TwinSAFE safety logic or via FailSafe over EtherCAT (FSoE) to ensure safe moto shut down. It follows standard mounting configurations (horizontal/vertical/flange) that provide installation flexibility in different machine layouts. It has an IP 54 rating which protects against dust and splashing water while IP65 (at the shaft) resists dust and water jets. When it is operating under heavy load it can momentarily deliver 1.60 newton meter torque without damage. The module nominal operating speed is 4500 min⁻¹ which indicates suitability for fast moving mechanisms or high throughput systems. The motor casing uses aluminum, which is lightweight and provides decent heat dissipation and corrosion resistance.
