Product Description:
Beckhoff’s AM8563-0N10-0000 belongs to the AM Synchronous Servo Motors series and serves as a rotary actuator for closed-loop motion axes in industrial automation. The motor converts electrical power from a matched drive into controlled torque and speed, making it suitable for positioning tasks on packaging lines, pick-and-place modules, and other electromechanical systems that require accurate, repeatable motion. It is intended for applications where stable speed control and precise position response are required during frequent starts, stops, and direction changes.
The motor uses a flange diameter of 142 mm, allowing direct attachment to gearboxes or machine frames without additional adapters. Position feedback is provided through an OCT single-turn encoder, enabling the drive controller to resolve the absolute rotor angle within one mechanical revolution. Power and signal wiring can be routed through a rotatable angular connector or terminal box, giving more flexibility when space around the motor is limited. Because the unit is supplied without a holding brake, any stationary load must be secured through external means such as drive torque or mechanical locks. The rotor has an increased mass moment of inertia, which helps the axis absorb transient load changes and maintain speed stability during rapid reversals.
The output end is a smooth shaft, making it compatible with clamp couplings that do not rely on keyways. The motor has a frame with length code 3, which keeps the package compact while still providing the stator length needed for rated torque. Its electrical characteristics follow winding code N, which keeps resistance and inductance values consistent across motors with the same designation. The motor is released in the standard version, so it follows the default cooling, protection, and material setup used for this motor line.
