Product Description:
AM8553-0K20-9000 is a high-performance servo motor. It is designed by Beckhoff Automation for demanding applications. The motor is equipped with an accurate multi turn encoder. The encoder is a device that provides feedback about the position, speed, and direction the shaft. It translates the rotational position into an electrical signal that can be interpreted by a control system, such as the servo drive used with AM8500 motors. Motor encoders enhance the performance and accuracy of motor-driven systems by providing real-time feedback for control and monitoring. The AM8553-0K20-9000 motor has a plain shaft. Other shaft designs are available for varying requirements. AM series motors support optional holding brake. However, a brake is not installed on this servo motor. The motor is designed to operate over a range of AC input.
Its standstill torque and current specifications are 11.4 Nm and 8.8 Amps respectively. The motor can sustain maximum speed of 9000 RPM. Peak torque and current output the motor is 53.13 Nm and 50.9 Amps. Motor performance specifications at 115 Volts input are 1000 RPM speed, 10.8 Nm torque and 1.13 kilowatts power. Motor performance specifications at 230 Volts input are 2200 RPM speed, 9.9 Nm torque and 2.28 kilowatts power. Motor performance specifications at 400 Volts input are 4000 RPM speed, 8.35 Nm torque and 3.5 kilowatts power. Motor performance specifications at 480 Volts input are 4500 RPM speed, 7.85 Nm torque and 3.7 kilowatts power. Connection technology used on the servo motor is M23 Speedtec. Beckhoff AM series motors are available with technology that requires a single cable for power and feedback transmission. The servo drive supplies motor power and uses motor feedback to control motor parameters.
