Product Description:

The AM8551-1E21-0000 is an industrial class three-phase salient pole permanent magnet energetic motor where required performance is repeatable and reliable. Sustaining a huge amount of torque at starting and rated torque of 4.60 Nm, this motor has a standstill torque of 4.80 Nm when powered by an AC electric nominal voltage of 100 to 480 Volts. A rated speed of 2500 min-1 is achieved with a peak motor torque reaching 17.2Nm at 1.20Kw of rated power output. C nominal current at standstill is 2.70A but it has a peak input current of 12.1A with torque constant 1.77Nm/A. The rotor moment of inertia being 8.75 kgcm2 ensures that cases where high precision control has to withstand high and sudden torques are catered for.

This motor is provided with additional advanced feedback tools such as rotor resolver, single turn absolute encoders OCT (One Cable Technology) 18 bits high resolution providing improvement in accuracy position control. It is designed, hence, for incorporation to complex automation system. The motor employs convection cooling and hence can work within highest ambient of 40c and lowest of 50c. M23 speedtec® plug connection technology is applicable in the motor due to its reliability and effectiveness in connection under harsh industrial conditions.

Most importantly, the installation, commissioning, production, troubleshooting, maintenance, and test assemblies must be understood in such a manner that safety is required at all times to avoid injury or damage. The AM8100 series servomotors which include this model does not stand and must be incorporated in a machine or a system. In this regard, it’s important that the machine and additional documentation and safety instructions provided are adhered to after installation.
