Product Description:
The AM8053-0NH0-0000 servo motor is produced by Beckhoff and belongs to the AM Synchronous Servo Motors series. As a synchronous servomotor, it converts electrical energy into precisely regulated torque and speed, supporting repeatable motion sequences in pick-and-place axes, packaging lines, and other automated machinery. Its design fits within the broader Beckhoff motion platform, enabling tight integration with EtherCAT drives and supporting deterministic position control wherever compact, high-performance rotary actuation is required in industrial automation systems.
The motor has a flange diameter of 104 mm, allowing direct mounting to gearboxes or machine frames that accommodate this standard size. Position feedback is supplied by a high-resolution 24-bit encoder that uses OCT multi-turn technology, so the drive receives absolute position data across multiple revolutions without requiring a battery. Functional safety is supported up to SIL 2, enabling the motor to participate in certified stop or speed-limited functions when paired with a compatible controller. A rotatable angular connector or terminal box allows the power and feedback leads to be oriented in a convenient direction for the machine layout. This adjustable connection can reduce cable strain and simplify routing around nearby equipment without changing the motor’s mounting position.
The motor uses winding code N, which corresponds to the resistance and inductance values used by the drive for motor control. Its overall length is represented by code 3, which corresponds to the active stack depth and continuous torque class within the AM805 frame. A smooth shaft simplifies attachment to clamping hubs or friction-locking elements and helps minimize particulate generation in clean production areas. The motor is supplied without a holding brake, so static load retention must be provided by drive-applied torque or an external mechanical clamp. This brake configuration is suitable for horizontal axes and other applications in which the connected load does not move when motor power is removed.
