Product Description:
The AM8033-0E20-0000 synchronous servo motor is built by Beckhoff for the AM Synchronous Servo Motors series. This standard-version unit uses a 72 mm flange and a smooth shaft to connect with gearheads or belt drives in automated machinery. It is supplied without a holding brake, so external clamping or drive torque must secure vertical loads when power is removed. As part of a modular servo platform, the motor provides closed-loop positioning and speed control for packaging lines, indexing axes, and other motion tasks that require precise operation. Its flange arrangement supports direct installation where accurate shaft alignment and a compact motor footprint are important.
At its continuous operating point, the motor produces 0.94 kW while running at 3000 rpm. This operating combination indicates the load and speed that can be sustained within the permitted ambient conditions of the drive system. The electromagnetic design produces 2.98 Nm of nominal torque, while a torque constant of 1.52 Nm/A provides the controller with the relationship between phase current and generated torque. The rated standstill current is 2.10 A, allowing the motor to produce 3.20 Nm of static torque without exceeding the permitted winding temperature rise. Length code 3 identifies the stator stack depth used for this output range, while winding code E matches the coil resistance and inductance to compatible medium-voltage Beckhoff amplifiers. These electrical characteristics allow the drive to regulate torque during both stationary holding and controlled rotation.
Short-term overload capability permits peak torque of up to 17.19 Nm while the inverter supplies a momentary phase current of 12.9 A. The rotor inertia of 1.23 kg·cm² supports rapid acceleration and helps indexing movements remain within short cycle times. The IP65 housing prevents dust from entering the motor and protects internal components against water jets. Position data are returned through OCT multi-turn feedback, allowing the controller to retain absolute position information across multiple shaft revolutions. Power and feedback wiring can exit through either a rotatable angled connector or a terminal box, providing routing flexibility in compact machine layouts. The smooth output shaft is suitable for clamp-style couplings that transfer torque without a keyway, while the 72 mm flange provides a stable mounting surface for accurate alignment.
