Product Description:

AM8032-5DH1-0000 is a Beckhoff servo motor. It is designed with a 24-bit high-resolution multi turn encoder. High-resolution feedback enables very precise and accurate control of motor speed and torque. The motor has a special shaft with a IP65 rated shaft sealing ring, feather key, groove, and sealing air connection. Not only does the shaft seals prevent ingress of harmful and damaging materials, they also prevent leakage of oil from the motor. These features ensure the motor components, such as bearings, are protected, which enables high performance throughout the motor’s operating lifespan. Overpressure on the sealing air connection can be achieved by connection to a regulated compressed air system. Beckhoff recommends the sealing air connection for installation locations with high dust exposure and motors with direct and permanent and fluid contact.

The motor is a brushless three-phase synchronous motor that has no direct electrical contact between rotor and stator. There are no slip rings on the motor which increase the operating lifespan. Commutation of the motor is done via an electronic circuit. A thermal contact measures the winding temperature and provides protection against overheating. An optional holding brake on the AM8032-5DH1-0000 motor provides additional operating safety. This brake is not designed for service braking. This brake blocks the motor rotor in the de-energized state. It increases the motor’s length and moment of inertia of the rotor. Operating voltage range for AM8032-5DH1-0000 motor is 100 to 480 Volts AC. Performance specifications for 400 Volts include 3000 RPM nominal speed, 2.38 Nm standstill torque, 11.66 Nm peak torque, 0.72 kilowatts rated power, 1.7 Amps standstill current and 9.6 Amps peak current.
