Beckhoff manufactures the AM8023-0E11-0000, a member of the AM Synchronous Servo Motors series intended for closed-loop machine axes that need fast positioning and repeatable torque control. The motor belongs to the Synchronous Servomotors product class and serves as a compact drive element for packaging, pick-and-place, and small handling modules in industrial automation. As a standard version within the AM family, it combines permanent-magnet excitation with a low-inertia stator so the connected drive controller can issue rapid speed adjustments without unnecessary delay.
The motor uses a 58 mm flange, which aligns the mounting interface with IEC size 58 gearboxes or direct machine-frame attachment. A brake supply of 24 VDC energizes the integrated electromagnetic unit and provides the shaft holding force listed for the motor. The encoder system is the OCT single-turn variant, which combines Hall sensors and an absolute track so one electrical revolution is reported to the controller without battery backup. At stall, the motor resists back-drive with 2 Nm of torque, which is suitable for light vertical loads or indexing tables. A smooth shaft design omits keys and threads to minimize concentricity error, making it suitable for clamp or shrink-fit couplings. All electrical power and feedback lines can exit through a rotatable angular connector or an optional terminal box to simplify cabinet wiring.

The internal winding code is E, and it matches the resistance and inductance values expected by Beckhoff AX or AXC drives.
