Product Description:
The AM8022-0D20-0000 is an acrylic powder-coated synchronous motor that comes with an anthracite gray finish. It came from Beckhoff’s AM servo motor series, boasting a brushless design and a neodymium permanent magnet. Brushless synchronous motors are preferable for highly efficient applications and are generally more reliable since they employ fewer moving parts. For most AC motors, the stator, the stationary part of the motor, generates the moving magnetic field when excited by an alternating current. The moving magnetic field allows the rotor, which is usually composed of a permanent magnet, to turn and drive some load. For this motor, the appropriate mains voltage is between 100 and 480 volts.
Depending on the connected mains voltage, the AM8022-0D20-0000’s nominal values may change. For instance, at 115 volts, the AM8022-0D20-0000’s nominal working speed is 2000 rpm. At this speed, the corresponding output of the machine is 0.78 Nm and 0.16 kW. When the voltage supply increases to 230 volts, the working speed increases to 4500 rpm, with corresponding power and torque of 0.35 kW and 0.75 Nm, respectively. For a nominal voltage supply of 400 V, the motor achieves a speed of 8000 rpm. Finally, when allowed to draw power from a 480 V supply, the AM8022-0D20-0000’s working speed increases to 9000 rpm.
The AM8022-0D20-0000 features iTec connection technology, a multi-turn OCT feedback system, and a smooth shaft for general-purpose applications. Without an optional blocking brake, the AM8022-0D20-0000 weighs 1.3 kilograms and measures 133.5 millimeters. Like other AM servo motors, the AM8022-0D20-0000 supports various orientations of flange mounting and incorporates natural convection for cooling. Considering its compact construction, the AM8022-0D20-0000 requires a small time to cool completely.
