Product Description:
The AM8021-1B10-0000 synchronous servo motor is manufactured by Beckhoff within the AM Synchronous Servo Motors series. It serves as a rotary drive element for automated equipment that requires accurate positioning and fast cyclic operation. The motor converts inverter-supplied current into regulated torque and speed for packaging lines, material-handling stages, and small assembly gantries. Its feedback system allows a compatible servo drive to monitor rotor movement and correct position or speed deviations during operation.
The motor bolts to machinery through a square flange that measures 58 mm, allowing it to fit compact planetary gearboxes and IEC adapters. Power and feedback conductors exit through a rotatable angular connector, so the cable direction can be adjusted to suit the available installation space. An optional terminal box provides another connection arrangement when the machine layout requires different cable routing. Rotor position is reported by an OCT single-turn encoder, which provides an absolute position value within one mechanical revolution and enables immediate position recognition at startup. The stator uses winding code B, with electrical resistance and inductance suited to the continuous current and thermal limits of this frame size. The motor is supplied without a holding brake, so stationary loads must be secured through drive-applied torque or an external clamping device.
The overall frame depth uses length code 1, keeping the housing short enough for installation in compact machine spaces while accommodating the selected winding. Its reduced axial depth is useful in closely arranged motion systems where several drive axes must fit within a limited enclosure or machine frame. Shaft torque is transmitted through a shaft groove with a feather key, providing positive engagement with compatible pulleys, gearboxes, and rigid couplings. The shaft connection conforms to DIN 6885, allowing it to mate with standardized components that use the corresponding key dimensions. The motor has the Standard series type and version, without special coatings or a high-inertia rotor. Its standard configuration also omits specialized sealing options intended for operating conditions that require additional housing protection.
