The AM8013-0DH0-1001 is a synchronous servo motor produced by Beckhoff and supplied under the AM Synchronous Servo Motors series. As a rotary actuator, it converts controlled electrical energy into coordinated torque and speed, allowing CNC axes, pick-and-place heads, and general motion stages to follow commanded profiles with high accuracy. The motor couples directly to the load and relies on its integrated feedback system to close the control loop inside Beckhoff or third-party drive amplifiers used throughout automated production cells and lines.
The motor has a flange diameter of 40 mm, allowing the housing to fit compact gearboxes or mounting plates without adapters. A smooth shaft transmits torque through clamp couplings and minimizes the fretting that can occur with keyed interfaces. Position feedback is delivered by a 24-bit encoder, supplying 16,777,216 discrete counts per revolution to the controller. The OCT multi-turn feedback system also records up to 4,096 mechanical turns, eliminating the need for homing after power cycles.
