The AM8012-0CH1-0000 is a synchronous servo motor produced by Beckhoff for the AM Synchronous Servo Motors series. It converts electrical power into regulated rotary motion for positioning, feeding, and repetitive drive tasks under closed-loop control. Commanded torque and speed allow automated machinery to maintain accurate movement as operating loads change. Its compact housing supports installation in packaging lines, assembly stations, material-handling equipment, and other machines where available mounting space is limited.
A brake control voltage of 24 VDC releases the integrated holding brake during operation. When engaged, the brake provides 0.60 Nm of holding torque to keep the shaft stationary after drive power is removed. Rotor position is measured by an OCT multi-turn encoder with 24-bit resolution, providing fine position feedback while retaining absolute counts across multiple revolutions. The 40 mm flange provides a compact mounting interface for compatible gearboxes, couplings, and machine plates. Functional safety reaches SIL 2, allowing the motor to operate within appropriately designed motion safety systems. Winding code C identifies the installed winding arrangement, while length code 2 indicates the housing length used for installation planning.
